Owner & Primary Therapist
Arizza D. Salas, LCSW
She/Hers/Ella
Arizza is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Illinois and founder of Solace OCD & Anxiety Therapy, PLLC. She specializes in treating OCD, anxiety, PTSD, depression, and mood disorders through evidence-based therapy tailored to each individual.
Clients often describe Arizza as warm, approachable, and genuine. She creates a space where people feel safe enough to be honest — while also feeling supported to challenge themselves. With clarity, compassion, and confidence, she helps clients face fears, move through difficult emotions, and build lasting empowerment.
That philosophy is at the heart of Solace: Transforming Anxiety into Empowerment.
Clinical Experience
Before founding Solace OCD & Anxiety Therapy, Arizza worked in a behavioral health hospital’s Partial Hospitalization (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient (IOP) programs specializing in OCD and anxiety, where she received extensive training in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP).
She holds a Bachelor’s in Psychology from DePaul University and a Master’s in Medical Social Work from Aurora University, graduating Summa Cum Laude in both.
Arizza also enjoys mentoring newer therapists and collaborating with clinicians to provide thoughtful, high-quality care.
Therapy With Me
As a queer, LGBTQIA+ allied, and social justice–oriented therapist, I’m committed to creating a safe, affirming space where all identities are respected and valued. As a proud Latina, I also recognize the powerful role culture and lived experience play in mental health, and I bring that awareness into my work with care and sensitivity.
Therapy with me is both challenging and rewarding — serious at times, lighthearted at others — because healing doesn’t have to feel heavy all the time. I bring energy, authenticity, and a little spunk to sessions so you feel supported, seen, and empowered.
You’re stronger than your anxiety and together, we’ll help you prove it to yourself.
Outside the Therapy Room
When she’s not helping clients navigate anxiety and OCD, Arizza is usually spending time with her beloved dachshund, Denny — her very dedicated (and adorable) assistant. Whether he’s snoozing by her desk or demanding cuddle breaks, he takes his role seriously… even if he naps on the job.
Arizza and her husband, whom she married in April 2024, love strength training, reality TV marathons, and cozy nights at home with favorite takeout. She’s also a fan of thriller novels — with Gone Girl at the top of her list — and loves spending time with friends, sharing laughter and connection.
At her core, Arizza believes in creating spaces rooted in warmth, authenticity, and compassion — both in and outside the therapy room.
